The Eyes Of Ghana | La 22e édition du Festival International du Film Black de Montréal

Le tapis rouge de la soirée d’ouverture de la 22e édition du Festival International du Film Black de Montréal aura lieu le mercredi 23 septembre 2026 à 19 h au Théâtre Outremont. La soirée présentera la première québécoise de The Eyes of Ghana , réalisé par le cinéaste oscarisé Ben Proudfoot et produit par Barack et Michelle Obama à titre de producteurs exécutifs. Le film sera présenté en anglais, Twi wt Ga avec sous-titres en Français . Il sera suivi d'un Q&A avec la productrice Nana Adwoa Frimpong . Le Festival rendra également hommage au producteur primé Éric Idriss-Kanago en lui décernant le Prix Avant-Garde . Cette distinction souligne sa contribution exceptionnelle au cinéma et son engagement envers des œuvres audacieuses, originales et porteuses de sens. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The red carpet for the opening night of the 22nd Montreal International Black Film Festival will take place on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at 7:00 p.m . at Théâtre Outremont. The evening will feature the Quebec premiere of The Eyes of Ghana , directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Ben Proudfoot and executive produced by Barack and Michelle Obama . The film will be presented in English, Twi, and Ga , with French subtitles . It will be followed by a Q&A with producer Nana Adwoa Frimpong .The Festival will also honor award-winning producer Éric Idriss-Kanago with the Avant-Garde Award . The award recognizes his outstanding contribution to cinema and his commitment to bold, original, and meaningful storytelling.
